UPDATE! November 22, 2016
Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce Names Kelly Adamson to President
Cincinnati, OH – Barbara Hauser, Board Chair of the Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce and Community Relations Manager, P&G, announced today the hiring of Kelly Adamson as the new President of the Over-the-Rhine Chamber. Adamson will succeed Emilie Johnson, who has been in the position since 2012 and is leaving her position to travel the country with her husband.
Adamson currently serves as Director of Development for Strategies to End Homelessness. Prior to STEH, she worked in development at Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and was steadily promoted at both organizations. She was a key part of the efforts to secure a $1 million grant toward family homelessness and has initiated creative partnerships, to utilize community engagement and build dialogue around social issues in Cincinnati. Through her passion for supporting local environments, Kelly joined the Board of Directors for the Corporation for Findlay Market this past March. She is also a proud resident of Over-the-Rhine and is dedicated to building on the strength, vitality and diversity of the neighborhood.
According to Hauser, who also led the Board Search Committee, the announcement concludes an extensive search process that reviewed a diverse field of candidates: “We are extremely fortunate to add Kelly Adamson’s leadership, talent and energy to the Over-the-Rhine Chamber team. Kelly is committed to building sustainable partnerships and increasing community engagement for the benefit of the neighborhood. She brings exactly the right kind of experience and qualities we need to continue the important work of the OTR Chamber.”
As President, Adamson will lead the organization’s efforts on increasing visitation to Over-the-Rhine through marketing, communications, and OTR Chamber signature events, business attraction and retention program, and safety initiatives. She assumes her role as President of Over-the-Rhine Chamber on December 7, 2016.
