A safe and clean neighborhood is an essential need for any vibrant neighborhood. The OTR Chamber develops initiatives in partnership with the City of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Police, business and property owners, residents, and its members and stakeholders to enhance the quality of life for the community.
There are monthly OTR safety meetings, hosted by Cincinnati Police District 1 leadership, for OTR businesses and stakeholders to have a channel of communication about safety issues.
Regularly scheduled Over-the-Rhine Safety Sector meeting:
- Second Thursday of the month at 2 p.m. at the new OTR Chamber Offices, 1431 Walnut Street
- NEW! Second Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. at Rhinegeist in their conference room, 1910 Elm Street
In addition to the OTR Chamber's meetings, regularly scheduled Community Council meetings also include a safety update from CPD:
- Pendleton Neighborhood Council: first Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at 430 Reading Road
- Over-the-Rhine Community Council: last Monday of the month (except December) at 6 p.m. at the OTR Rec Center (now called "The HUB") at 1720 Republic
No Trespass Sign / Right of Entry Program
The "No Trespass Sign / Right of Entry" program assists residents, property owners, businesses and the police in our efforts to reduce unwanted non-residents who are trespassing on individual properties in Over-the-Rhine.
Property owners may order No Trespass signs through the OTR Chamber to prominently display on their private property. More than 900 properties throughout OTR have posted No Trespass signs in accordance with the ordinance revised code 2911.21. As part of the program, the OTR Chamber provides the completed NCR forms to District One Police for their use in building the case against and eventually the arrest of trespassers.
Right of Entry forms should be current and on file with District 1. Please download the form (link below), print, get notarized, and return to the OTR Chamber office at 1431 Walnut Street.
If you would like to participate in the program, download the forms below and return to the Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce.
