Thank you for supporting locally-owned businesses!

The holiday shopping season is here and there are dozens of shop local, holiday and arts events being held in Over-the-Rhine, details are included in the press release below.

The Over-the-Rhine (OTR) Chamber announced in November that 41 new businesses have joined the dynamic dining and shopping scene in OTR in the past 12 months. The new consumer-oriented businesses (retail, service and restaurant) have created more than 640 new jobs for the neighborhood and City of Cincinnati.

For every dollar you spend at local independent businesses, 3 times more of your money goes back into the local economy compared to one spent at a big box, according to the American Independent Business Alliance.

New to the 2015 holiday season are Over-the-Rhinedeers, holiday helpers that will be stationed in a tent at 12th and Vine Streets and throughout OTR on weekends in November and December. The Over-the-Rhinedeers will be available to answer questions and direct shoppers to dining and retail locations.
